And this would be a list of riders (PDF) that the House Republicans attached to the Continuing Resolution bill.

===Please feel free to share that about.

===Ok...these folks are needing their "god" to come down and take them.  Please.

===(I should note, I happen to think that they worship the dollar and a number of forces that consider greed and hatred to be a virtue, and not what they say they serve.)

===Ok, this should be something to watch...

US UNCUT

===It will be interesting to see how the "Tea Party" reacts to this sort of thing.
===A nifty book project that I think a number of folks might be interested in contributing to see work out: Coppice Agroforestry: Perennial Silviculture for the 21st Century: We humans must develop land management systems that provide diverse products to meet our needs while regenerating healthy ecosystems. Coppice agroforestry systems can do exactly this.

===It has achieved the first hurdle, for it to be really well done they probably need the full $18,000.00.

===(I am rather pleased with the idea of Kickstarter...I like it that folks can get the funds they need for a seriously creative endeavor by asking for evidence that people might want it, and get supported to do nifty things like this book.

The Resilient Gardener

===Excellent book...I would have to say that it is now added to being quite near the top of that list in my head of recommended books.  It addresses a lot of areas that need addressing (such as food allergies...yes, she bases her garden on the fact that she has food sensitivities...and acknowledges other allergies/sensitivities as something important.

===I put it up there with the new edition of Gaia's Garden.
Snake gives 'virgin birth' to extraordinary babies

===I was particularly struck by this quote: "The only previously known animals to carry this WW chromosome pairing were created by scientists in the laboratory, using intricate genetic techniques to artificially alter the way animal eggs develop."

===Hrm....makes me wonder if this would be yet another example of what Rupert Sheldrake was talking about:

MORPHIC RESONANCE AND MORPHIC FIELDS

===This also might makes one wonder about possible results of genetic modification, (also, possible connections/thoughts on the plants a while back that reverted back to "earlier modes" that kicked out genetic modifications...(need to track that down...it was about a year or so ago that a study popped up, then I heard nothing else about it...)

===So, folks....

===Thresholds is wending its way closer and closer....and the general patterns of folks letting me know whenever they think of it continues! (grins)

===If you are coming and have let me know, GREAT!

===If you are thinking of attending...let me know.

===If you know someone that has made noises about coming, but do not know if they have told me?  let me know.  There are several folks (glancing out in a generally western direction) that tell everyone but me that they are attending...I am glad these folks come and I love to see them, but it is helpful for me to know who is going to be there! (grins)

===Give me an idea as to when you are likely to arrive, so I can do things like scheduling workshops....

===Workshops are also developing par for course....as in, I have a few suggestions, and possibilities should folks actually feel up for it.  Let me know in a week or so if you are definite for presenting, as I would like to get a general schedule up.

===As for workshops/main ritual/whatnot on my end of things:  We are discussing a meading/brewing/bardic thing.  I am looking into the feasability of a simple portable/dimantleable rocket stove to heat things up, and have folks sing/storytell into the brew.

===Are there any workshop topics folks would like me to present on?  I might do the regular standby on Reiki, but I am in the midst of a few other things folks might be interested in, such as fermentation as a magical relation, elven homesteading...most folks that are attending know me, is there something that you ave wanted me to actually speak on...(no, you may not ask for the "hey, Rialian, can you stand and actually be silent for an hour, just so we know what that would be like?"...funny as that might be....)

===This is an open post, if you want to drop me a line in private, you all know how to reach me...(grins)

===We attended the very nice Spoutwood May Day Fairie Festival yesterday and had a wonderful time.  The drive was not bad., the parking was not bad, the festival was a lot of fun.  Walking in and waiting in the line was regaled by a small (about 5 or 6 people) demonstration against the evil festival...with the staff asking us all to not feed the trolls.  The folks protesting did seem to be a bit annoyed that they were being ignored, and I think folks appreciated the "oh, look, that is what we do not like, and are now going into something excellent!".  (this is even funnier when you realise that the folks of Spoutwood ARE Christian).

===So we wandered the fest, caught up with friends that we had hoped to meet up with there, and re-connected with a number of folks I have not seen for a while...including the fine folks at Magic Moonshadows, who we have a number of pieces from ;  Our 7star is from them, and we just got a dragon for the archway that the original owners had their own stained glass in...the dragon is VERY happy there...(grins)

===I also got to chat a bit with someone I read rather regularly.. John Michael Greer. Nice guy, and I am looking forward to seeing a few of his new projects hitting the published realm. (amongst other things, he is very into translating old book on magic lore.)

===One really impressing thing about Spoutwood is the level of real "green" there is there.  They compost EVERYTHING they can...(I can just imagine how this improves their soil, after a few events like this), the site is the cleanest and best maintained I have ever seen in any context....simply amazing.  They are investing in solar water heat and power...cob/strawbale buildings are about (their observatory and one of the greenhouses are made of cob/strawbale mixed designs, well maintained)...I highly recommend their events.  (as can be guessed, they are QUITE organic)

===Today, we shall be planting a bunch of herbs we got from them, and the quince and gooseberry I just received from One Green World, going off for my dulcimer lesson, and otherwise enjoying the day!

===Yeah, looking at a bunch of stuff to watch how folks play...I think this one will amuse and impress folks....

As I know a few folks would find this of interest: Dennis Havlena has a great website...and he has the designs for how to make your own "hang drum" out of a propane tank.  (listen to a bit over here: Hank Drum )

Fast Hands - Max ZT

===My dulcimer teacher made it a point to show me this guy.  He LIKES traditional stuff, but he does not want me limited to it, so he is making it a point to show me what else can be done with one first..(such as introducing me to the amp he uses with the pick-up and pedal)

===Glance about f you like...lots of interesting stuff done with the dulcimer...

Max Zbiral-Teller has a website....
Funranium Labs

===As I am well aware of a few folks that would appreciate it...

===I have been glancing here every so often....probably going to use a bit more in a bit.

===I do wish there was an easy way to post from a client to both DW  AND LJ at the same time...(I rather like using a client...

===Great book so far...of course, I enjoy historical work that helps to actually understand linkages and environs...
